But we aren’t your typical food critics. Lunchtime Columbia isn’t looking for the ultimate dining experience. We aren’t looking for the posh restaurants with the perfect wine list. We aren’t looking for the perfect place to have a fine dinner with an important client.

We’re just looking for lunch.

It has to be someplace close to work. Someplace that will provide a decent meal, with decent service, in the short time you are allotted for lunch.

In a place like Columbia, Maryland, it can be really hard to find great places for lunch - even though there are lots of them around. Many of our best restaurants are tucked away in business parks or down little side streets. Everything here is low profile, with many restaurants nestled discretely among the trees. Columbia also has very strict zoning regulations, so there aren’t a lot of signs around. All these things may keep the property values up, but they make it hard for the starving office worker to find the next meal.
